Best practies for proposals usually include some time of color or gateway reviews (e.g., Pink Team, Red Team, etc.). At n8 Consulting, we advocate those types of reviews for the Cost Volume and all cost and pricing artifacts. While cost and price data will attract a distinct audience from the rest of the proposal, we recommend at least two review cycles during a proposal effort typically corresponding schedule-wise to the similar reviews for the non-cost volumes. To avoid confusion with differences in 'color' names between companies, we simply call them a Compliance Review and a Customer Simulation Review.

 Compliance Review

Compliance Reviews are intended to ensure the proposal meets the requirements as set forth in the RFP and is consistent with your proposal themes and win strategies as defined by your capture team. As part of this offering, we will perform a compliance review of the cost volume and other proposal artifacts.

You will receive detailed markups and notes for the reviewed artifacts including:

  • any problems, errors or omissions connected with the solicitation requirements
  • strengths of the proposal weaknesses and resolutions to them
  • assess the persuasiveness of the proposal
  • and recommendations for corrective actions.

 Customer Simulation Review

Customer Simulation Reviews are intended to evaluate a proposal like a customer will using their evaluation criteria and grading system. As part of this offering, we will perform a customer review of the cost volume and other proposal artifacts.

You will receive detailed markups and notes for the reviewed artifacts including:

  • any problems, errors or omissions connected with the solicitation requirements
  • strengths of the proposal weaknesses and resolutions to them
  • assess and score how the proposal stacks up against the evaluation criteria
  • and recommendations for corrective actions.
